With more than 18 years in the telecom engineering and construction industry. He has worked across the United States on last mile, middle mile, long-haul fiber, and wireless networks.
Peter Moriarty was appointed to senior director of underground utilities for the West Region, responsible for the gas transmission and distribution, electrical and communications civil construction (conduit and manhole systems) businesses. He has over 15 years of experience managing projects and programs in the utility construction industry.

IEDA
Kevin Fox, with Dewitt Equipment Co, in Barrie, Ontario, is the incoming president of the Independent Equipment Dealers Association (IEDA). New board members are Luke Brenner, with Heavy Equipment Co. in Austin, TX; Kenneth Tysinger, with May Heavy Equipment in Lexington, NC; and Chris Lohman, with South Mountain Tractor in Tempe, AZ. Also, Kristin Waldie, BBA with CapStone Accounting in Minesing, ON, is the new treasurer.

Dennis Zorn is the new western territory manager at Hi-Vac Corporation, manufacturer of industrial vacuum systems. He has more than 30 years of experience, including specifically with industrial vacuum systems, bulk material handling and process automation.

Wayne Swafford joined planning, engineering and program management consulting firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc., as executive vice president. Reporting to Dennis Petersen, president, Swafford is responsible for the direction and operation of the LAN brand. A structural engineer with more than 30 years of experience, he has managed the operations and finances of several technical organizations, and has a proven track record of guiding organizations through growth and change.

Joe O’Carroll was appointed as senior vice president and regional tunnels practice leader, responsible for the sector’s strategic growth in southern California and the western US. He brings more than 35 years of experience in the heavy civil and underground construction industry, specializing in tunneling with tunnel boring machines and in project risk management.
