Flex-Seal Utility Sealant From Sealing Systems

Flex-Seal Utility Sealant is a state-of- the-art plural component aromatic urethane with an incredible 800 percent elongation and a tensile strength of 3200psi. It is designed to prevent inflow/infiltration and to provide corrosion protection at the grade adjustment ring section or joint section. Flex-Seal Utility Sealant provides an excellent seal and will pass a vacuum test according to ASTM standards.

Flex-Seal Utility Sealant is an aromatic urethane rubber. Urethanes are noted for extreme toughness, elongation, abrasion, resistance, acidic resistance and longevity. Sealing Systems, Inc. process allows a fast and simple method of sealing the adjustment ring area and joint sections will not allow infiltration and will not deteriorate from hydrogen sulfide or road salt. When properly installed, no special conditions or requirements are necessary for optimal performance.

  • Flex-Seal Aromatic Urethane, Part “A”
  • Flex-Seal Thick-a-vator, Part “B”

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:

  • Sandblaster (minimum 70 cfm)
  • Sand supply
    • dust free Silica sand recommended
  • Power drill (minimum 2500 rpm)
  • Acetone
  • Drill mixer
  • Hand mixer (plastic or wand)
  • Rags or paper towels
  • Hammer
  • Large flat head screw driver
  • Piece of cardboard or carpet (to kneel on)
  • Spray foam insulation (in the event of large voids)
  • Bricks for patching (missing ring sections)
  • Quick set patching material (Chimney Patch and Repair (CPR) by Sealing Systems, Inc.)
  • Inspection mirror w/ extension
  • Flashlight
  • Safety glasses
  • Warning cones
  • Safety vests
  • Garbage bag (for clean up)
