John Deere SmartGrade Crawler Dozer Promotes Productivity with Innovative Technology

New John Deere SmartGrade crawler dozer is built to improve jobsite accuracy and quality of work with its integration of the Topcon 3D-MC2 Grade Control System, which is fully integrated into the machine’s cabin, structure and software to deliver precise grading performance while eliminating vulnerable external masts and cables.

The SmartGrade technology enables operators to be more productive by removing the need for daily equipment installation, dramatically reducing setup time. The removal of external cables to the masts reduces breakage, and removing the masts from the blade eliminates vulnerability to damage and theft.

With the Auto SmartGrade feature, the operator is allowed ease of system adjustment when moving from one soil type to another, eliminating the need for the GPS manager to recalibrate the system. Auto SmartGrade automatically lifts the blade over heavy loads prior to track slippage, and then returns the blade to the grade. In addition, SmartGrade limits the number of passes required, resulting in reduction in the pace of wear on the undercarriage.

Machine dimensions are preloaded into the grade control monitor, reducing the time required for calibration of the dozer to about 30 minutes. The easy-to-use system also benefits the operator by allowing them to quickly get started on a jobsite.

Customers can count on Ultimate Uptime featuring John Deere WorkSight to get the most out of their 700K SmartGrade dozer. Ultimate Uptime gives owners pre-delivery and follow-up inspections; three years of JDLink telematics; machine health prognostics; remote health diagnosis and programming capabilities; and, the ability to add dealer-provided uptime solutions to customize their package to meet their individual needs. www.johndeere.com.
