APCA Holds 44th Annual Convention

Another record registration of 297 attendees marked the American Pipeline Contractors Association’s 44th Annual Convention at Boca Raton Resort in Boca Raton, FL.

Speakers at the event included Greg Guidry, Ogletree Deakins law firm, who spoke to members on overtime wage issues.

Officers, directors

Officers elected for 2015 are: Sean Renfro, president, Sunland Construction Inc.; Bill Schettine, vice president, Meridien Energy; Michael Castle, Jr., second vice president, Progressive Pipeline; and Bruce Gilliland, secretary/treasurer. J.D. Lormand remains as executive director at the association’s office in Lafayette, LA.

Other directors are: Pat Simpson, Sterling Construction Co.; Randy Farrar, Farrar Construction Inc.; Max Nichols, Jomax Construction Co. Inc.; John Fluharty, Mears Group Inc.; Alan Owens, Troy Construction LLC; Ricky Dyess, M.G. Dyess Inc.; Nick Bruno, Bi-Con Services Inc. and Sean Sullivan, Elkhorn Holdings. “Advisory” directors are Morris Farrar and John Maxwell.

The associate member board consists of: Joe Trapani, president, Caterpillar; Scott Anderson, vice president, John Deere & Company; John Lucki, secretary/treasurer, Cross Country Pipeline Supply; Carl & Sonnie Raffety, Iron Tractor LLC, convention chairpersons; and Brian Tanner, EPIC Brokers, as golf chairperson. The associate members also elected Ron Hooker as an honorary member.
