Baroid Industrial Drilling Products senior account representative Thomas A. Tibor, 63, of Guthrie, OK, passed away on Jan. 23.
He grew up on his family’s ranch, Bear Mountain, located in Beach, ND.
After studying for two years to become a veterinary technician, Tibor found his true calling in the oil fields. He began work in the industry performing mud engineering for various companies before making the decision to form his own company in the 1970s. However, when the oil fields dried up in the 1980s, Tibor transferred the skills he had learned and discovered his second career selling heavy construction equipment. Nearly 10 years later, Tibor began working for Baroid Industrial Drilling Products (IDP), a division of Halliburton Energy Services Inc., and continued with the company for 20 years.
Tibor’s hard work, dedication and vast industry knowledge provided him with many accomplishments and recognitions. He valued the strong relationships he built with dealership personnel, HDD retailers and contractors. He worked with Baroid IDP distributors, as well as end-users, providing fluids training and technical support. He presented training sessions both domestically and internationally, teaching more than 30 sessions each year, at industry events, as well as colleges and universities and for governmental regulatory groups.
Tibor is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley; two sons, Faron and Shawn; and three grandchildren.
Dale Edward Anders suddenly passed away in his sleep on Jan 29. He was 61.
Employed by Henkels & McCoy Inc. for more than 44 years, Anders began at the company when he was 16 year old. From his beginnings as a part time employee while in high school and college earning a degree, Anders progressed to become the pipeline administrative manager at the time of his death.
Anders is survived by his wife, Wendy; son, Drew (wife Erin); daughter, Dana Riegel (husband Brandon); parents, Norris and Arlene; sister, Audrey Azevedo (husband Joe); and grandchildren, Addison Riegel and Makenzie Anders.

Jewell Inez Feagins Dunn, 90, died Feb. 5, at her home in Dallas, TX. Dunn, a Pipeline Contractors Association Honorary Member, started her career in the pipeline industry in the early 1950s with Dunn Bros Inc. She stayed active in the industry until her retirement in 1998.
Dunn was named Pipeliner of the Year in 1972 by Pipeline Digest. In 1998, she was given the distinction of being the only woman to be elected an Honorary Member of the PLCA.
