Volvo Hosts Pro Golf Invitational 2014
The Volvo Group companies in North America hosted 72 dealers and customers at an exclusive, invitation only golf event on the Stadium Course of the PGA West, in La Quinta, CA, on Nov. 17, 2014.
In addition to networking and learning more about the other Volvo Group companies, the guests had the opportunity to learn from two PGA players – Bill Haas and Fred Couples. Haas and Couples gave instruction to the group on the driving range and provided tips for playing the Stadium Course and offered the chance “Beat the Pro” on holes 6 and 17.
Guests were also given tips on how to course strategy from Fanny Sunesson, who caddied for Nick Faldo on several of his professional tour wins. Personal swing analysis was provided by James Jewell, a professional golf instructor from England.
The day concluded with an awards dinner and a question/answer session with Haas and Couples. Volvo Construction Equipment was well represented by its dealers and customers – one team won the “Beat the Pro” award for beating both pros, while another team took home the trophy for first place in the event.
