Financial Aid Approved For Multi-Phase Drainage Project, Water System Upgrades
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved financial assistance for a multi-phase drainage project and improvements to a local water system.
The assistance will allow these communities to address flooding concerns and upgrade a very small water system:
• $5,599,008 in financial assistance, in the form of a grant, to the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 (Hidalgo and Willacy Counties) for a multi-phase drainage project; and
• $54,000 in financial assistance to Derby Ing. Utility (Frio County) for water system upgrades.
