Kleinfelder Slates Harpstead As CTO

Kleinfelder has appointed Daniel L. Harpstead, PE, as the firm’s new chief technical officer. Harpstead, who reports directly to Kleinfelder’s President and CEO Bill Siegel, is located in the firm’s Exton, PA, office.

In his new role, Harpstead is responsible for overseeing Kleinfelder’s global network of technical resources with a focus on developing technical talent, advancing industry-transforming innovation, and maintaining technical quality across the company’s 71 offices in the United States, Australia and Canada. He brings over 37 years of engineering experience in a diverse set of technical and leadership roles relating to geotechnical and environmental engineering, construction quality control, and risk management. Since joining Kleinfelder in 1990, Harpstead has held several positions including senior principal and technical discipline lead for the company’s design engineering and architecture discipline.

Harpstead received a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University. 858.442.2167, kleinfelder.com
