CASE N Series backhoes feature 3.4-liter, turbocharged engines, ranging from 78 hp in the 580N to 108 hp in the 590SN. The Tier 4 Interim-certified engine burns cleaner while delivering superior horsepower, faster response and a minimum of 5 percent better fuel efficiency under load. The versatile 450F comes with a hydraulic thumb, pin-puller type coupler and a range of compatible work tools, including buckets with integral forks, hammers and plate compactors. The engine delivers 396 foot-pounds of torque and has a torque rise of more than 30 percent, allowing the 450F to power through tough applications. cat.com/requestCatinfo

Volvo
The Volvo BL70B backhoe features a cast bucket linkage design that helps the bucket rotate 205 degrees allowing vertical digging in all positions without repositioning the machine. The boom allows excellent visibility into the trench, as well as enabling closer proximity to the truck for loading. The BL70B has a maximum retracted digging depth of 14 feet 9 inches and maximum extended digging depth of 18 feet 3 inches. 828.650.2000, volvo.com
