Leading Practices For Cross Bore Safety - Committee Registration

If you are interested in reducing cross bore risk associated of all types of utilities, this is the best opportunity to get involved.

Cross Bore Safety Association (CBSA) is creating a “Leading Practices for Cross Bore Safety” document, with involvement from numerous participating organizations and their members to be inclusive of all underground utility stakeholders. You can guide the outcome and ensure that all points of view are represented equally. Committee formation is now starting. If you are interested in participating, further information can be found at: http://www.crossboresafety.org/Leading%20Practices.htm.

As a member of CBSA or one of the participating organization who have signed on, you are entitled to the benefit of participation on one or more of the six sub-committees. The updated list of participating organizations is available on the Leading Practices webpage.

If you are not a member of a participating organization, CBSA welcomes you to join our effort by becoming a CBSA member at http://crossboresafety.org/Membership.htm.

The topics shown on the next page constitute the basic scope of each working committee for the development of the leading practices document. Please indicate which topics you are interested in assisting with.

Cross bore risks need to be addressed thoroughly and timely. Accordingly we have set an aggressive one year timeline for completing the drafting of this document. Sending in the attached form will allow you to start at the beginning. From my prior experience in these type of efforts the energy that you expend will be more than rewarded. Perspectives from multiple interests allow for a more complete understanding. Please submit your completed registration to: participate@crossboresafety.org ?subject=Individual Committee Participation in Leading Practices

Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate. You will be contacted by the Subcommittee Chairperson responsible for the topic(s) selected on your registration form.

Sincerely yours,

Mark H. Bruce
President
