Lincoln Electric Names Anthony Battle Chief Compliance Officer

The Lincoln Electric Co., a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc., announced the promotion of Anthony Battle to Chief Compliance Officer, effective immediately.

This role is in addition to Mr. Battle’s position as Senior Vice President, Internal Audit, and Officer of the Company.

“We are pleased to have Tony lead our compliance team as this expanded role will fully leverage his deep experience in risk and compliance matters,” stated Christopher L. Mapes, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Given the increased complexity of the regulatory environment, Tony’s twelve year experience at Lincoln Electric leading important initiatives will help ensure that we continue to have the right systems in place to identify and manage risk and compliance across our international footprint.”

As Chief Compliance Officer, Mr. Battle will be responsible for managing compliance across all Lincoln Electric businesses and regions to ensure that the organization abides by applicable laws and regulations. His team will provide independent oversight and compliance management activities while working closely with senior executives and the Board to identify, propose and implement enhancements to ensure the program is effective.

Mr. Battle joined Lincoln Electric in 2003 as Audit Manager, and in 2010 he was elected as a Company Officer and Vice President, Internal Audit, with responsibility for Lincoln Electric’s worldwide audit process and staff. In 2014, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Internal Audit. Previously, he was with TRW Inc. and Owens Corning. Mr. Battle earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from John Carroll University and an Executive MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is also a graduate of Lincoln’s International Business Development Program in conjunction with the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Mr. Battle is a CPA and a member of The Ohio Society of CPAs.
