Radiodetection’s new range of precision locators builds on the high-performance and ergonomics of the RD7000+ and RD8000 platforms adding the ability to detect RF utility markers, also known as EMS or Omnimarkers.
Featuring a unique automatic marker depth measurement system, which eliminates the need for a two-step manual process, and combined utility and marker locating mode, this new marker locator range delivers faster and more accurate surveys.
Interfacing to maps and GIS systems is a simpler task thanks to the internal GPS options and convenient Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The optional internal GPS feature of the RD8000 range enables locate professionals to add positional data to survey measurements without the need to carry additional equipment. USB connectivity delivers a fast and simple interface to Mapping and GIS systems. The RD Manager software, the PC companion to the new range enables operators to export data into common file formats such as KML for Google Earth.
All precision marker locators feature Bluetooth to allow automatic transfer of measurements to external devices, including those offering further GPS support.
The automatic data logging on selected models provides operators with usage monitoring, enabling proof of work and improvement of best practice. Every second, key locator parameters are saved into the unit’s non-removable internal memory for later retrieval and analysis using the USB connection and RD Manager. GPS models further add the benefit of positional data, enhancing the value of survey data.
Other key benefits include the simultaneous display of current and depth for the RD8000 models, Dynamic Overload Protection that automatically filters out interference from electrically noisy environments, and built-in Li-Ion rechargeable batteries as standard for extended battery life and cost effective operation.
