Lincolnshire, IL, both part of Switzerland-based Georg Fischer Ltd., welcomed more than 150 guests including many city and state officials, at the grand opening of their new Irvine facilities on Oct. 9.
The event featured a formal ribbon cutting ceremony followed by refreshments and guided tours, product tradeshow displays, machine demonstrations, keynote speakers and raffle.
The 105,000 square-foot Irvine campus includes 23,000 square feet of office, engineering, technical support and training space; 82,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space; and more than 100 employees. The manufacturing/fabrication area is capable of producing 3,000 different kinds of valves assembled to specific customer requirements and can cut large pipe diameters up to 42 inches in size.
