Lawson Joins Mears Group
Kurt Lawson joins Mears Group as a senior director of integrity solutions. Lawson has over 25 years of experience in the field of corrosion and materials engineering.
Prior to joining Mears, he was the director of facility and pipeline services for DNV Columbus. From 1985 through 2005, Lawson worked for CC Technologies Inc. and served as vice president of CC Technologies Systems Inc.
He has authored over 25 technical papers on corrosion and CP and has co-authored several PRCI Reports on corrosion research related to underground pipelines and indirect survey methods. Lawson has also worked extensively on high profile litigation cases and has led various workshops and short courses. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and studied Metallurgical Engineering with an emphasis on Corrosion at Ohio State University. He has also been an active member of NACE International, Southwestern Ohio Section, the American Society of Metals and the Steel Structure Painting Council. 800.632.7727, www.mears.net
