Rehabilitation
Rehab Product Focus: Manhole/Pipe Coatings
Manhole and pipe coating systems from Raven Lining Systems, Sprayroq, AP/M Permaform, Sauereisen, Warren Environmental, SpectraShield Liner Systems and Standard Cement Materials.
Raven Lining Systems
Raven linings are engineered to solve the most demanding corrosion, infiltration and erosion problems in wastewater treatment and collection system structures. These solvent free, 100 percent solids, ultra high build epoxy linings deliver proven long-term protection with structural renewal capabilities; and can be installed and returned to service quickly. Formulated for moisture and surface tolerance, Raven Lining Systems integrates materials, equipment and expertise to offer all the essential components necessary to successfully restore and protect water and wastewater systems. The versatility of our proprietary applied lining system permits spray application of our materials under the most adverse conditions. This allows us to provide solutions for a wider range of structures and meet the needs of the municipal market. 918.615.0020, www.ravenlining.com
Sprayroq
SprayWall is a durable, spray-applied 100 perenct VOC-free polyurethane coating that provides both structural enhancement and chemical resistance against all elements that eat away at underground structures. Fast and easy to install, SprayWall’s unique formula completes the cure process in less than 30 seconds for a fast return to service. SprayWall may be applied up to 500 mils (½ inch) thick in a single application. SprayWall is designed for surfaces that are exposed to acids, corrosives and other caustic elements. Some of the structures include manholes and man-entry pipelines. 205.957.0020, sprayroq.net
AP/M Permaform
COR+ROC Epoxy Mortar is a two-component epoxy-based polymer liner, which adheres well to clean, damp surfaces typical of well-prepared manholes. It is applied through Permaform’s bi-directional spincaster for uniform, thorough coverage for reinforcement and chemical corrosion protection. The epoxy can be applied in one application or troweled to any design thickness up to 1-inch thick. With set times of 30-45 minutes, applicators and inspectors have ample time to easily verify the proper thickness with a wet gauge. Ultimate strength values are comparable. 800.662.6465, www.permaform.net
Sauereisen
Sauereisen SewerGard No. 210FS is a fast-setting epoxy material for use in municipal wastewater environments. This lining protects concrete surfaces from chemical attack and physical abuse, while prohibiting water infiltration. It is particularly useful for protection of manhole benches, inverts and other structures subject to very little maintenance downtime. No. 210FS has non-sagging application properties that permit vertical and overhead applications, if necessary. When cured, No. 210FS provides an impermeable, high strength, corrosion-resistant lining. Suitable for application over damp or dry concrete surfaces, No 210FS does not require a primer. 412.963.0303, www.sauereisen.com
Warren Environmental
Warren Environmental 100 percent solids structural lining system for pipes and manholes provides a vacuum tight system that ties the main line to the manholes, resulting in a 100 percent reduction in inflow and infiltration (I&I). An independent study has shown that lining 12 manholes and their associated pipe reduced the flow by 25,000 gpd, saving customers thousands of dollars in treatment costs and preserving valuable wetlands. 888-5WARREN, www.warrenenviro.com
SpectraShield Liner Systems
Patented SpectraShield Liner is a spray applied, multi-layered, silicone modified polyurea system that is used to rehabilitate and protect wastewater structures such as manholes, wet wells, or wastewater treatment plant facilities. It is a 100 percent solids system eliminating VOC compliance issues. A typical 7-foot deep manhole can be completed in approximately one hour. SpectraShield Liner has a 10-year warranty. 904.268.4591, www.spectrashield.com
Standard Cement Materials
Standard Cement Materials produces cement liners that are pre-blended, high strength, durable and chemical resistant microsilica and calcium aluminate concentrates. These component compounds are designed to produce a concentrate with improved compressive and flexural strengths, lower permeability, and increased resistance to aggressive chemical attack. Reliner Cement is a factory blended, single component, high strength cement concentrate. This comprehensive, polymer-modified Portland cement compound is a blend of highly reactive cements, pozzolanic materials, a calcium aluminate or microsilica based admixture, polypropylene fibers, and other selective ingredients, which impart greater workability for placement. The cement is stocked in 75-pound bags.
Stop water infiltration or exfiltration in sanitary sewer manholes, at the cast iron frames, top to bottom and in the invert sections. Reliner Cement restores the sewer manhole’s structural integrity, seal walls and annular spaces around pipes and in pipe joints. It is fiber-reinforced to reduce shrinkage and cracking. 713.680.0482, www.standardcement.com
