NASTT Michael E. Argent Memorial Scholarship

The North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) has announced a new student scholarship program established in the memory of Michael E. Argent, one of the five founders of NASTT and a motivating force behind the growth of trenchless technology in the United States.

“Through this scholarship program established in his memory, it is hoped that Michael’s contributions to our industry will continue to inspire young trenchless professionals,” said Chris Brahler, NASTT chairman.

NASTT is awarding five scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each to eligible students who are members in good standing of a current 2010 student chapter of NASTT. The applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college, university or trade school for the 2009-2010 academic school year.

The scholarship winners will be formally recognized in a special awards presentation during the NASTT No-Dig Show 2010 in Chicago, May 2-7, in conjunction with NASTT’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Interested students must submit an application and paperwork for consideration to the NASTT Executive Director by Feb. 1, 2010. Application forms are available online at www.nastt.org.
