NASSCO’s Annual WEFTEC Reception Draws Large Crowd
NASSCO’s annual “Icebreaker Reception” tradition at WEFTEC 2009 was deemed a great success by organizers. More than 250 gathered for several hours on Oct. 12, to enjoy networking, food, drinks and fun.
The event was an opportunity for NASSCO members to reconnect and invite other colleagues to meet key NASSCO representatives and become members.
A special new member “15 for 12 promotion” was offered during WEFTEC – new members could join and pay for a 12-month, 2010 membership but receive the remainder of 2009 for free (15 month value). Several new members took advantage of the savings to join NASSCO.
The reception was just one of many NASSCO activities at WEFTEC. Prior to the event, NASSCO members gathered for a bi-annual meeting to hear all about the organization’s activities and learn about specific accomplishments within each of its many active committees. Members also were invited to join committees of interest and help with the goals set out for the organization in 2010.
