INGAA Has Record Attendance At Las Vegas Annual Meeting
More than 280 key transmission, engineering, contracting and vendor personnel attended the INGAA Foundation’s 20th Annual Meeting at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas this past November.
In addition to committee meetings presentations included “Opportunities and Challenges Facing the Natural Gas Industry” by Keith Rattie, chairman of Questar Corp.; “The Vision For Natural Gas in a Smart Energy Future,” by Edward Johnston, managing director – GTI; “The Impact of Renewal Generation on the Natural Gas Infrastructure,” by Bruce Henning, vice president of ICF International; “Pipeline Safety – Where Do We Go From Here?,” a panel moderated by Terry Boss, senior vice president, Safety and Environment of INGAA, with panelists Dan Martin, senior vice president of Pipeline Safety, El Paso Corporation, Don Santa, INGAA president and CEO and Cliff Johnson, president, PRCI.
The second day started with INGAA President and CEO, Don Santa, giving his Washington Report followed by a panel moderated by Santa on “Fallout From the Mid-Term Election: Impact on the Interstate Pipeline Industry.” Panelists were Christopher Newkumet, chief editor, Inside FERC and Jeff Share, editor, Pipeline & Gas Journal. This was followed by the “INGAA Report on Interstate Pipeline Efficiency,” by Joan Dreskin, general counsel, INGAA and Terry Boss. Next was “2010 Safety Intervention Studies – What Does Success Look Like?,” a panel chaired by Les Cherwenuk, director – Keystone XL, TransCanada Corporation with panelists Brian McConaghy, vice president, Community, Safety and Environment, TransCanada Corporation; Donald Goodlet, director, Health and Safety, Spectra Energy; and Mark Milliken, safety director, Southern Union.
This year’s INGAA Foundation Chairman was John Allcorn, president and CEO of Integrated Pipeline Services, Inc. The 2011 Chairman is Dan Martin, senior vice president of Pipeline Safety, El Paso Corporation.
