GCTA Scholarships Awarded
The Gulf Coast Trenchless Association (GCTA) recognized the recipients of its college scholarships Aug. 12 at its monthly meeting. The association awarded $12,000 in scholarships to 12 students.
The students were: Jason Ozment, son of Andy Ozment, Insituform; Jennifer Seifert, daughter of Terry Anderson, IP+E; Katherine Bell, daughter of Grady Bell, Laney Directional Drilling; Kyla Edmonds, wife of Sidney Edmonds, AECOM Inc.; Michael Radi, son of Hani Tohme, City of Beaumont; Sophia Steiner, daughter of Ralph Steiner, KBR; Sabrina Read and Jason Read, children of Traci Read, Oildom Publishing Co.; Lana Donath, daughter of Robert Donath, PM Construction; Courtney Ford, daughter of Russ Ford, LAN; Christina Sheu and Tommy Sheu, children of Kathlie Jeng Bulloch, City of Houston. Shown are the students present at the meeting.
Also at the meeting, attendees heard from guest speakers, Grady Bell, vice president of business development for Laney Directional Drilling Co., and Travis Vander Wert, sales manager, Vermeer Corp.
Bell and Vander Wert spoke on the horizontal directional drilling technology – its past, present and future.
