UCT RehabZone® Goes Live In 2010
The RehabZone will be hosting live product and technology demonstrations at the Underground Construction Technology International Conference & Exhibition (UCT) in Tampa, FL, on Jan. 19-21, 2010.
These “live” demonstrations will include chemical grouting through a joint effort by Logiball Inc., Aries Industries Inc. and Avanti International on how to quickly and effectively stop active infiltration and exfiltration that is typically found at lateral connections, pipe joints and manhole penetrations. RS Technical Services will demonstrate CCTV inspection technology for pipeline measurement utilizing laser profilers and laser diodes in order to effectively measure deflection and defects. Cosmic Tophat will be demonstrating a self-propelled electric cutter with a camera specifically designed for small diameter house laterals. Other demonstrations are also planned.
Planned and staffed by industry personnel including consulting engineers, municipal representatives, manufactures and contactors, the ’Zone is sponsored by NASSCO (National Association of Sewer Service Companies), in cooperation with the American Society of Civil Engineers technical committees on Trenchless Installation of Pipelines and Pipeline Infrastructure Systems, and the Water Environment Federation’s Collection System Committee and Underground Construction magazine. Funding is provided by the sponsoring organizations and participating companies.
The ’Zone is located in the exhibit hall and provides information on generic technologies used in rehabilitating the underground utility infrastructure. Admittance to the RehabZone is included with a UCT registration. For details on UCT, visit UCTonline.com.
