Nemetschek to acquire HCSS, expanding construction tech in infrastructure sector
(UI) - The Nemetschek Group has agreed to acquire Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), a U.S.-based provider of software solutions for infrastructure and heavy civil construction, expanding its footprint in the growing construction technology market.
HCSS, headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, serves more than 4,000 contractors with software supporting estimating, project management, safety and field operations. The company will be integrated into Nemetschek’s Build & Construct segment, strengthening its portfolio of digital tools for construction workflows.
The acquisition positions Nemetschek to capitalize on rising demand for infrastructure and heavy civil construction, driven by aging assets, government investment, energy transition and urbanization. The combined business is expected to expand the segment’s total addressable market to approximately $12 billion by 2028.
The companies said the deal will improve connectivity between office and field operations while advancing the use of data and AI across construction projects.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
